With coronavirus lockdown measures now eased to permit children to enjoy playgrounds, parks and farms again – keeping the youngsters entertained has become much simpler.
To keep everyone safe from Covid-19 as we emerge from the pandemic, family attractions have implemented a variety of measures including social distancing, hand sanitizing stations, and masks for workers.
Though it’s near impossible to stay young kids playing on equipment socially distanced from each other, the principles have allowed for playgrounds to reopen.
Within the vast countryside of Worcestershire, there are many scenic places to enjoy the good outdoors and therefore the sunshine – all while keeping the transmission risk down.
From fairy walks at Churchfields in Droitwich, to riverside walks at Webb’s in Wychbold, there is a number of stunning locations to require the youngsters for the day.
Webb’s in Wychbold

If you are looking for a free outing for the youngsters, regardless of their age, the grounds surrounding Webbs at Wychbold are ideal.
There’s a fairly quiet playground at the rear of the Webbs store – with benches for the adults.
Make sure you’re taking a COVID mask for adults and any children over 11 because the play area is thru the shop and at the rear of the building.
To the side of Webbs, there is a lovely stream where kids can sit and watch the fish swim by – alongside an adorable hobbit house for kids to play in.
You can also take a picnic as you rehearse the scenic gardens to seek out the right spot.
Alternatively, there is a café to urge lunch – though it isn’t within the dine out to assist Out scheme running throughout August.

Broadfields

Advertised as an incredible outing for ‘all ages’, Broadfields is currently running its ‘maize maze’ set during a 10-acre field.
With the Malvern Hills because of the backdrop, the good Worcester Maze offers three mazes to assist keep kids entertained for a full outing.
Paths are two to 3 meters wide to assist guests maintain social distancing and keep safe.
Extra hand wash facilities and hand sanitizer areas are added, and contactless payments are encouraged.
Adults pay £6.50, for youngsters, it’s £6 and under 3’s go free. They also offer family package deals (two adults and two kids) for £24.
Churchfields Farm

Churchfields is currently running fairy trails from £2 per person through its farmyard – and they are also famous for his or her delicious frozen dessert too.
Kids are encouraged to place on their fairy wings before embarking on a journey through the woods, across a troll bridge, and past cow-filled fields to hunt out the fairies.
In an hour of fun, the youngsters will spot both real – and wooden – animals as they follow directions and clues to varied stops – where little fairy houses and shops are constructed.
The trail is punctuated by a variety of hand sanitizing stations at each stop, and families are generally polite in expecting each other to end at each area.
At the top of the trail, there is a playground and a tractor to take a seat on surrounded by a variety of picnic benches for lunch.
Visitors can either go inside to order or place their request at a burger hut outdoors – where staff wears visors or masks. And in fact, there’s the Churchfields frozen dessert to end off the day.
Worcester Woods Country Park

At the country park, there are two nature reserves, an enormous open field, woodland walks, and an outsized adventure play area outdoors.
There’s also a restaurant where families can get lunch or drinks too. The country park may be a short distance from the M5, making it easily accessible for anyone coming from the encompassing areas of Worcestershire and Birmingham.
West Midlands park
Where? Spring Grove Rd, Bewdley, Kidderminster DY12 1LF
If it’s exotic animals your kids are waiting to ascertain during the lockdown, West Midlands park is that the best place in Worcestershire to try to just that.
